I’ve heard many people say that abortion is not murder. This is a hot topic in our government where they (the government) feel a need to dictate what a woman does and does not do with her body. Think about that, it’s not just her body she is having a “say” with, it’s another human being, there may be a father out there that isn’t aware and he doesn’t get a say in the matter either.
I have always, in my personal opinion felt that abortions are and were murder. I conceived my first son at 14 years of age and my second son at 16 years of age. No, I did not consider abortion, nor adoption.
If you are interested in my story please read past blogs to explain how I ended up pregnant at such a young age.
Moving on. As early as 5-6 weeks after gestation a baby’s heartbeat can be detected by a physician, however, a baby becomes “living” at the time of conception.
So many people dispute this, science shows it’s a fact.
I wanted to take a look at a few facts and statistics. I searched various sites such as the CDC. I found information for the United States. These are facts.
I recognize it is a woman’s right to choose, however, as a woman, we have the right to contraceptives, abstinence, and adoption if necessary. In some instances people plead abortions are necessary if it’s incest, rape, or the baby is deformed. I understand the concern, I really do. I straddle the fence on these, realizing I have not been in those situations, and knowing that IF you were to seek an abortion for one of those reasons, during the first 6 weeks, personally, I could understand somewhat.
So is abortion murder? You tell me.
If you believe abortion is murder, that would make it murder in the 1st degree. Do you know someone that has had an abortion? Do you think of them differently? Do you see them any different as you would if they committed the murder of a stranger?
I believe there are personal decisions to be made for everyone, everyone has to live with their decisions. Abortion should NOT be a form of birth control.
